This page is designed to keep clients, friends and visitors up to date about what’s new @ http://www.classicalastrologer.com/. The advantages of doing this as a blog are 1) it is interactive and 2) alerts and explanations regarding updates don’t need to take up space on the home page. Changes and updates will be posted here as they occur
This site is undergoing significant restructuring and updating. In fact the scope of these changes is by far the greatest since the site’s inception. Some pages may not be available during this time. After five years or so, most sites need a thorough review. I’ve needed to make the essential interface leaner, to facilitate adding an enormous number of resources. Information should now be even easier to find. It will be even better when the entire project is complete and all pages are available.
The chart shop is slated for removal because it has rarely been referenced. If you would like charts sent to you, now is the time to order them.
To better organize and accommodate some of these resources, I have now completed the process of setting up Archives II This is the new home for primary texts regarding Astronomy, Astrology, Hermetica. Alchemy and related subjects. Nearly sixty new files and pages have been added in three categories. These are for the use of students and fellow astrologers.
Previous visitors to the original Archive page, will notice that it has been entirely reorganized. Some pages have been discontinued and new articles have been added. At this point approximately 90% of these have been re-set.
Local classes are being entirely re-designed. The on line Traditional Astrology Course pages have been updated and texts available to students for free download are more numerous. The edition of Ptolemy’s Tetrabiblos was recently updated, with significant corrections and new graphics in April. It is available via the Archive II page, under Classical Sources. You will also find a link in the sidebar of this blog.
Course fees will be increasing in the near future for reasons that are entirely unrelated to these additions. I have done my best to keep the cost down, so that it’s affordable to anyone; but the amount and quality of individual instruction also needs to be considered.
Check this blog for frequent articles, particularly for mundane and electional material. I plan to add topical content weekly.
Again not all pages will be available. Not all will return. More new pages will be added as the highest quality and most useful material is added. Thanks for your understanding and patience while I make these transitions. I hope you enjoy the changes and visit often!
Constructive comments, suggestions and questions are always welcome.
Celestially Yours,
P. James Clark

I look forward to seeing how your site evolves. I do stop by from time to time. Let me know if I can be of service in anyway.
Hi JKR: Thank you very much for the kind words. I hope you’re availing yourself of the many new free resources.
The site changes and upgrades are now essentially complete.
Classes are now in session for those who began at the New Moon. There will be further openings in the very near future.
If you intend on taking one of the courses, please contact me to reserve your place as soon as possible. I limit each group to offer optimal personal attention.
Two new classes willl be offered in the New Year: A Study of Ptolemy’s Tetrabiblos and Basic Astrology by Hand. The latter is a course for those new to astrology or those wishing to learn how to construct a chart manually. Basic chart delineation will also be studied.
Full details will be available @ http://www.classicalastrologer.com/ in the very near future
We are moving to a new server. Some reconfiguring is inevitable. Some pages may not be available or be incomplete. The transfer should be complete by early next week
